Review Workspace

Reading applications together

A shared space for reviewing applications

The Review Workspace is where applications to a program are read. Instead of downloading application packets and passing them around, the program coordinator and reviewers read the same applications in one place: packets, summaries, reference letters, notes, and lists together.

What reviewers can do

  • Read everything in one place. Each applicant has an overview, background and experience, veterinary education, and references at a glance alongside their curriculum vitae, personal statement, transcripts, and Standardized Letters of Reference, plus the full application packet as a single PDF.
  • Start with a summary. After an applicant's CV, personal statement, and references are all received, the workspace prepares a short Pre-Read summary to orient a first read. The full materials are always available.
  • Find applicants quickly. Search by name or account number; filter to complete packets, late-arriving references, or applicants already noted; and use advanced search to narrow by eligibility answers such as NAVLE® status and work authorization.
  • Keep notes. Every reviewer has private notes only they can see, and shared notes visible to the other reviewers and the program coordinator.
  • Organize applicants into lists. Reviewers group applicants into named, ordered lists — a shortlist, a follow-up pile, whatever fits how they work. The reviewer can choose whether to keep a list private or share it with other reviewers.
  • Stay current. Applications arrive until the deadline; the activity view shows what is new since a reviewer last accessed the website.
  • Export when needed. The applicant pool can be downloaded as application packet PDFs or as a spreadsheet.

What reviewers cannot do

  • Change the rank order list. Reviewers' lists are advisory. Only the program coordinator builds the rank order list; a coordinator may copy a reviewer's shared list into it, but that decision always belongs to the coordinator.
  • See other programs. A reviewer sees only applicants to the program the program coordinator invited them to review, and only while the program coordinator keeps their access open. A coordinator can revoke access at any time.
  • Change an application. The workspace is read-only with respect to application materials. Nothing a reviewer does alters what an applicant submitted.
  • Show anything to applicants. Notes and lists are internal to the program. Applicants never see them.

For program coordinators

Coordinators manage everything from their program's Reviewers page:

  • Invite reviewers by email. Add a reviewer's name and email address and they receive an invitation. Reviewers sign in with just their email address — there is no account or password to set up.
  • Control access. You can allow orrevoke a reviewer's access at any time.
  • Post a message to your reviewers. A single message is shown to your reviewers including deadlines, how you would like lists used, anything they should know.
  • Use their work. Shared lists and shared notes flow back to you, and when you build your rank order list you can copy a reviewer's shared list straight into it.
  • Read alongside them. Coordinators can access the Review Workspace at any time.
